Purpose of the Role:

The Infrastructure Manager is responsible for leading and managing all infrastructure-related initiatives across our hybrid/cloud environment. This role is focused on maintaining and optimizing the current infrastructure while advancing the organization’s shift toward a modern, AWS-centric cloud architecture.

Key priorities include ensuring high system uptime per client SLAs, streamlining operations through automation, and supporting overall infrastructure scalability and security.

Key Objectives:

  • Lead all infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, and aligned with business needs.

  • Maintain and manage existing infrastructure (hybrid/cloud), ensuring uptime exceeds contractual SLA/RTO/RPO requirements.

  • Drive automation across infrastructure operations to reduce manual work, minimize risk, and improve speed of delivery.

  • Champion the organization’s cloud migration strategy, with a focus on transitioning to AWS services.

  • Provide clear leadership to the IT Manager and Database Administrator, ensuring aligned execution and continuous improvement.

  • Conduct formal and ongoing performance evaluations for direct reports.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day health, performance, and reliability of core infrastructure systems (on-premises and cloud).

  • Lead and manage infrastructure projects including cloud adoption, automation implementation, and systems upgrades.

  • Monitor uptime metrics and enforce operational practices to meet or exceed SLA targets.

  • Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC), configuration management, and DevOps practices (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD).

  • Ensure disaster recovery, backup integrity, and business continuity planning are up to date and tested.

  • Develop, maintain, and enforce infrastructure-related policies, procedures, and documentation.

  • Collaborate with security, applications, and business subject matter experts to ensure infrastructure alignment with overall company strategy.

  • Manage third-party vendor relationships related to infrastructure services and licensing.

  • Ensure that all SOC related activities are performed on time and in schedule related to the infrastructure and IT operations.

Team Leadership & Performance Management:

  • Provide strategic direction and hands-on support to the IT Manager and DBA, ensuring clarity in roles and accountability.

  • Conduct quarterly and annual performance reviews, including goal setting, feedback, and growth planning.

  • Track team KPIs (e.g., issue resolution time, system availability, automation adoption, documentation quality).

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and professional development.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Minimum 7 years in IT infrastructure roles, including 2+ years managing direct reports or teams.

  • Proven experience managing hybrid infrastructure and leading cloud migration to AWS.

  • Advanced knowledge of AWS services (e.g., EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, RDS).

  • Hands-on experience with automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).

  • Demonstrated ability to manage uptime SLAs and optimize infrastructure performance and cost.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Certifications (Not Required):

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional)

  • ITIL Foundation

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification

  • Relevant DevOps/Automation certifications

  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry a plus
