C2 Systems Platform and Infrastructure Engineer Opportunity

Everyone is trying to "harness the cloud", but not everyone knows how. As an experienced cloud computing infrastructure architect, you know how to take advantage of cloud capabilities. You will oversee our team of experienced professionals and use cutting‑edge enterprise cloud platforms to guide clients as they modernize their IT infrastructure and meet their most challenging missions. We’re looking for someone to help modernize solutions so warfighters stay safe.

You Have
  • Experience operating Kubernetes at production scale, including cluster deployment, day‑2 operations, upgrades, and security hardening
  • Experience with CI/CD and GitOps pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, and ArgoCD or Flux
  • Experience with Infrastructure‑as‑Code and configuration management using Terraform and Ansible
  • Experience implementing and operating an observability stack such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK or OpenTelemetry
  • Experience designing and deploying systems in secure, air‑gapped, or DDIL environments
  • Ability to translate mission and reliability requirements into resilient, automated platform designs
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS or Engineering and 8+ years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering, including technical leadership on production systems, or 12+ years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering, including technical leadership on production systems, in lieu of a degree
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Security+ CE Certification
Nice If You Have
  • Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio, Linkerd, or Consul, for traffic management, mTLS, and observability
  • Experience deploying and sustaining containerized platforms in DoD environments, including Platform One, Big Bang, or Iron Bank
  • Experience engineering for the tactical edge and hardening deployments for DDIL and disconnected operations
  • Experience with C2, ISR, or other mission‑critical DoD systems and their operational constraints
  • Experience implementing DevSecOps practices, including container scanning, STIG compliance, and policy enforcement such as OPA or Gatekeeper, and Kyverno
  • Experience with secrets management and Zero Trust patterns such as HashiCorp Vault and SPIFFE or SPIRE
  • Experience achieving and maintaining an Authority to Operate (ATO), continuous ATO, or RMF accreditation
  • Secret clearance
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Certification
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or similar Cloud Certification

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Work Model
  • Remote: may require occasional onsite work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
  • Hybrid: frequent in‑person work at a Booz Allen facility and possible customer visits.
  • Onsite: primarily at a Booz Allen office or customer facility.
Compensation

Salary range: $112,900.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
