Job description

The work:

AWS Cloud Engineer will deploy, configure, and operate OpenFGA infrastructure on AWS EKS, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and configure OpenFGA on AWS EKS cluster
  • Design and implement infrastructure-as-code (Terraform / Argo CD)
  • Configure networking, load balancing, and service mesh
  • Ensure security compliance (IAM, security groups, encryption, network policies)
  • Manage database infrastructure for OpenFGA (RDS/Aurora)
  • Implement backup and disaster recovery procedures 
  • Optimize resource utilization and costs
  • Participate in on-call rotation for infrastructure support 
  • Document infrastructure architecture and runbooks

Here's what you need: 

  • Experience in cloud engineering, preferably AWS.
  • Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform and Argo CD
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitLab
  • Understanding of networking concepts like VPN, VPCs, DNS, and load balancing
  • Basic scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Must be willing to go onsite 2-3x/week in Arlington
