Who We're Looking For:
Our Manufacturing Information Technology team as an IT Engineer focused on enhancing our semiconductor factory operations. This role is crucial for the development, modification, and ongoing maintenance of our MES/CIM applications and a suite of vital Manufacturing and Engineering reports. You will play a significant role in system design, implementation, and deployment, ensuring robust and efficient solutions. Beyond technical delivery, this position emphasizes collaborative support for both end-users and internal team members, contributing directly to our operational excellence.
Responsibilities included but not limited to:
  • Create and maintain IT systems for semiconductor manufacturing Fab including MES, equipment controllers, central CIM systems and reports.
  • Perform timely user issue troubleshooting and look for opportunities in system baseline improvement.
  • Represent IT to work with user group on total IT solutions in productivity and quality improvement. Work in a team, multitasking and dynamic environment.
  • Regular shift, carrying a pager expected to provide off-hours and weekends on-call support.

Minimum requirement:
  • BS in Computer Science or Engineering (GPA 3.0 or better)
  • Proficient in C and Java. (We will conduct an on-site coding test. )
  • 2-yr program development experience using C, Java, VB, and SQL
  • Self-motivated and self-learned
  • Strong team player
  • Excellent communication skills

Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods, primarily while working at a desk, with occasional movemnent around the facility.
    • Frequent use of a computer, which involves looking at screens for extended durations.
    • Occasionally required to carry items weighing up to 12 pounds.
    • Frequent coordinated use of hands

Personal Attributes:
Successful candidates will need to be able to work and communicate amiably with engineering, customers, and business partners in a hi-tech, fast-paced, quick-changing work environment. Must be self-motivated and able to make process flow improvements and enhancements. Must have excellent time management skills and be a team player.

Work Location & Schedule:
This position operates on-site at our Camas, Washington location during core business hours, Monday through Friday 8 am - 5 pm; however, there may be occasions when additional hours are necessary to meet project demands.

Pay Transparency & Other Compensation:
At TSMC, your base pay is just one component of your comprehensive compensation package. For new hires in this position, the starting salary typically ranges between $87,000 and $106,764 per year. The full salary range for this Job Grade extends from $87,000 - $115,580 depending on factors such as skills, qualifications, education, experience, tenure, and position level. TSMC's total compensation package also includes market-competitive pay, profit sharing and incentive bonuses, and tuition assistance.
* This position is also eligible for a Sign-On Bonus depending on various factors.
* This position is also eligible for a Relocation Bonus depending on various factors.
