IT Engineer Specialist Multiyear Contract Remote – offsite

Responsibilities

  • Manage IaaS and PaaS resources on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
  • Configure and manage VCN, Subnets, Routing rules on OCI
  • Instantiate, apply regular patches and administer Compute, Storage, Load Balancers on OCI
  • Stand up and manage cloud database services such as Autonomous Database (ATP DB) and Autonomous Datawarehouse (ADW) on OCI
  • Administer, Set-up and Manage Oracle PaaS services such as Oracle Integration Cloud, Oracle Analytics Cloud, Oracle FAW, ODI (Oracle Data Integrator) Marketplace
  • Set-up and Manage Jump Servers, SFTP Servers on OCI
  • Provide functional and technical support, incident management, instance administration, release management, upgrade support, and testing
  • Patch Updates and Backups
  • Provisioning and managing the access to Environments
  • Managing the roles and access on Oracle Cloud Environments
  • Provide escalated technical support for complex technical issues which may include leading problem management cases and providing management status
  • Coordinate escalated support cases and lead appropriate internal technical resources and/or third party vendors to resolution and coordinate data transfer appliance
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) service model of Oracle Cloud infrastructure (or any similar cloud providers)
  • Knowledge of key concepts like Compute, Storage, networking, Security & Identity, and databases
  • Working knowledge of Platform as a service (PaaS) preferably Oracle Integration Cloud Service, Oracle Analytics Cloud, Java Cloud Service and various Marketplace offerings in Oracle
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Autonomous Databases Services
  • Advanced experience with Windows Server 2016 - 2022 or Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7-9 engineering and administration
  • Ability to perform troubleshooting of the Windows Server or Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems
  • BS or equivalent experience in programming on enterprise or department servers or systems
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
