Job Description
SAIC is hiring for a Systems Administrator in Anaheim, CA. This is a remote role.
Role and responsibilities:
  • The Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of enterprise systems, servers, backup infrastructure, and operational platforms to ensure system availability, performance, security, and data integrity.
  • This role provides day-to-day systems administration support for backup and recovery environments, ERP and business systems, datacenter assets, and infrastructure operations.
  • Ensures reliable system performance through proactive monitoring, backup validation, operational support, process improvement, and adherence to IT policies, security requirements, and service delivery standards.
  • Performs high-level, day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for Veeam Backup and Replication, Schedules server and workstation backups and maintains the backups in accordance with established IT policies and procedures and retention scheduled.
  • Continually monitors production schedules for Server backups, billing document submittals, ERP system, and payroll/HR reporting bi-weekly reporting to achieve optimum performance levels.
  • Ensures workstation/server backup integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions of varying complexities.
  • Conducts hardware and software audits of Datacenter assets in monitoring tools and asset databases to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
  • Reviews and implements new standards, policies and procedures to align with changing environment.
  • Works closely with Network and Systems Analysts to help manage IMAC functions when the systems are implemented.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with a minimum of 4 years of relevant systems administration or related technical experience; OR In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of systems administration or closely related technical experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, servers, applications, or IT operations.
  • Linux administration experience is required.
  • Experience managing Veeam Backup & Replication along with Veeam Recovery Orchestration.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server Administration.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen.
