Information Security analyst
Location: Frankfort, Kentucky (Partial Remote)
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Information Security Analyst & Administrator to serve as the primary security subject matter expert. This role focuses on Identity & Access Management (IAM), Active Directory, Azure/Entra ID, Okta, security operations, compliance, and modernization initiatives, including the implementation of a new IAM solution and case management system. The ideal candidate will have experience in both security operations and project-based security initiatives, with a background in enterprise identity management and security governance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary IT Security SME for the business unit.
  • Administer and manage Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Okta, and Privileged Access Management solutions.
  • Design and maintain role-based access control (RBAC) frameworks.
  • Manage authentication, authorization, and access control policies.
  • Support IAM implementations, integrations, and provisioning workflows.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments, risk analyses, and security reviews.
  • Monitor security tools and investigate incidents.
  • Implement and support Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Single Sign-On (SSO), and Certificate Management.
  • Develop and maintain security policies and procedures.
  • Support audits, compliance initiatives, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead security awareness and best-practice training efforts.
  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Identity & Access Management: Deep expertise with Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD). Experience implementing IAM solutions, user provisioning workflows, access controls, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
Security Frameworks: Experience with one or more of the following: NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
Security Operations: Strong understanding of identity security, authentication models, access management, and security governance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SAML, OIDC, SCIM, and Fine-Grained Authorization (FGA).
  • Experience with SIEM & Monitoring Tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or IBM QRadar.
  • Experience with Endpoint Security tools like CrowdStrike Falcon, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, or Carbon Black.
  • Experience with Network Security products from Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Cisco ASA / FTD.
  • Experience with Vulnerability Management tools such as Nessus, Qualys, or OpenVAS.
  • Experience with IAM Platforms including Okta, CyberArk, Ping Identity, or ServiceNow integrations.
  • Scripting skills in PowerShell or Python.
  • Experience in Government/Public Sector, Health & Human Services (HHS), or with large modernization initiatives.
