Director - Information Security (Remote)

Full time, United States, Canada

The Director, Information Security is responsible for leading integrated security operations across the BCD Travel Information Security organization. This role oversees the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the enterprise security program, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

The Director will provide strategic leadership across security risk management, security architecture, and solutions consulting. The Director will lead teams and collaborate across the enterprise to champion a robust security and trustworthy AI culture, motivating personnel to meet or exceed performance expectations while delivering measurable program outcomes.

As a Director - Information Security, you will

  • Foster a security positive culture by promoting awareness, accountability, and proactive security behaviors across the organization
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and effectively communicate the value and impact of security initiatives
  • Ensure all security activities and decisions align with business requirements, policies, and regulatory obligations
  • Apply a risk based approach to safeguarding both traditional technologies and AI ecosystems
  • Protect sensitive information through the implementation and oversight of effective security controls
  • Optimize the use of security resources to maximize efficiency, impact, and program maturity
  • Report security performance, metrics, and risks clearly and consistently to leadership and stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate, comprehensive security documentation supporting governance and compliance
  • Develop and execute short and long term planning to advance security program maturity and operational readiness

About you

  • Extensive experience in the information security industry
  • You have a strong background in information security, including security risk management, security controls assessor, security architecture, and security solutions consulting
  • Prior experience leading security risk management, architecture and design, advisory services, and/or strategy
  • Comprehensive expertise in control design and mitigation strategies spanning traditional technologies and AI ecosystems
  • Solid knowledge of threat intelligence and threat modeling integration onto SDLC and risk processes
  • Demonstrated strength in strategic and tactical planning, with the ability to mature programs from current state to desired future state
  • Security industry relevant training and/or certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP AI Advance Auditing (AIAA), ISO 42001 LA, etc
  • Effective program and delivery management, ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved
  • Excellent oral and written commercial English Skills
