Health Information Management Associate
Professional Summary
Dedicated and detail-oriented Health Information Management Associate with experience in
managing, organizing, and maintaining patient health records while ensuring compliance with
healthcare regulations and privacy standards. Skilled in electronic health record (EHR) systems,
medical documentation review, data accuracy, records management, and release of information
procedures. Committed to supporting quality patient care through accurate and secure health
information management.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, update, and organize patient medical records in electronic and paper-based systems.
  • Review health records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Scan, index, and upload medical documents into Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
  • Process requests for medical record retrieval and release while ensuring proper authorization and confidentiality.
  • Monitor and resolve documentation deficiencies to ensure complete patient records.
  • Perform data quality checks and assist with record audits.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare privacy regulations.
  • Support healthcare providers and administrative staff with health information requests.
  • Assist with accreditation reviews, compliance activities, and departmental reporting.
