Job description

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Informatics Coordinator is responsible for supporting the implementation of and providing ongoing support for corporate/division/facility-wide standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization activities related to the electronic health record and other clinically related technologies. This individual is responsible for coordination, support, and completion of project assessments, project advancements, workflow mapping, tools, and resources focused on Clinical Informatics’ initiatives including but not limited to provider order entry and documentation, standard clinical documentation, Promoting Interoperability, and other technology that supports clinician workflow. The Clinical Informatics Coordinator will participate in the company-wide community of Informatics by working with Director of Clinical Informatics and facility peers to ensure clinical applications are well supported throughout the facility.

What you will do in this role:

  • Implement and support corporate and division-wide standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization activities related to the EHR and other clinical informatics initiatives.
  • Develop, execute, and support education plan, tools and resources focused on the EHR and other clinical informatics initiatives.
  • Train and onboard new providers and staff.
  • Support technology implementations that support clinician workflow.
  • Resolve complex issues and requests escalated from to the division Service Desk or other division or health system service resources.
  • Monitor various EHR utilization trends on an ongoing basis.
  • Provide system and operations expertise for implementation of process & system changes.
  • Provide Go-Live support (elbow support) for all applicable implementations.
  • Participate in systems training for project team, serve as Super User for Clinicians.
  • Provide specialized support for physicians. Actively support and promote systems standardization, utilization, and best practices in the area of clinical informatics.
  • Collaborate with division team members on clinical support of the CPN Connect system, as well as application of advanced support of CPN Connect initiatives.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Tennessee or compact state preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing highly preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in an acute setting required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Clinical/Health Informatics, clinical application support, or equivalent role preferred.
