Title Informatica Administrator
Location: Remote then Charlotte, NC
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Start Date: ASAP

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
  • Informatica Administrator with hands-on admin experience in Informatica Big Data Management & Power Center.
  • Contributes as a key technical subject matter expert and resource in delivering improvements to ETL strategy, processes, technical architecture, subject areas, and user interfaces
  • Develops tests, deploys, and operationally supports technical ETL solutions as a technical SME
  • Maintains ETL infrastructure at high standards of performance, security, and reliability -- including installations/migrations to current versions of platform software, configurations, and patches
  • Works with vendor experts to quickly troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Maintains System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and related documentation as required by relevant regulatory standards
  • Instructs and assists users and developers with correct system usage
  • Participates in on-call support rotation

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor performance of Informatica environments
  • Manage users/groups, folders and perform code migrations
  • Create and manage Informatica services
  • Perform upgrades and apply patches.
  • Backup/ recovery of Informatica software, repository, and configurations
  • Automate different administration tasks via UNIX Shell scripts, command-line utilities, or maps
  • Responds to users requests for assistance (Help Desk tickets; phone, email)
  • Instructs users on correct system usage
  • Troubleshoots and resolves system issues
  • Communicates with vendors to resolve system issues
  • Develops, tests, and implements system changes, upgrades, and patches
  • Knowledge on PowerExchange connection creations and all PowerCenter Connections (to be able to validate and create new connections)
  • Maintains System Design Life Cycle (SDLC) documentation
  • Maintains system configuration; for example user accounts, project setup, data dictionaries
  • Monitors and maintains application servers; for example reviews logs, manages disk space
  • Installs and configures Informatica PowerCenter application software on new servers
  • Ensures proper backup of application data in compliance with regulations

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of Informatica experience
  • Experience with PL/SQL coding including debugging
  • Experience with Informatica PowerCenter, monitoring, upgrading, performance tuning, and production support
  • Administrator experience including technical support, troubleshooting, report design, monitoring system usage
  • Strong Unix shell scripting/VB Scripting experience, preferred
  • Audit experience, preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related area; or equivalent professional experience including application-specific employment related experience is required
