Job Description

This position reports to the Portfolio Director and is responsible for leading the management of the portfolio of X energy deployment projects. This is a senior leadership role which requires close coordination with Business Development counterparts to understand the pipeline of upcoming projects and to partner with the Portfolio Director and leadership team in planning and synchronizing these with inflight projects. The Senior Portfolio Manager must understand the full scope and strategic context of each project and lead the creation and management of the demand and supply plan for resources, services, and procurement items needed for successful delivery of each project and for the overall efficiency and performance of the portfolio. This role is accountable for maturing and operating the Portfolio Management function, including building, developing, and leading the team and planning, developing/selecting, and deploying the suite of tools required to support effective portfolio management at scale.


Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of the Portfolio Director, the Senior Portfolio Manager will:
    • Lead collaborative work with counterparts across the organization to understand the scope and timeline for client delivery commitments and to oversee generation of the demand plan for resources, services, and materials to fulfill project needs.
    • Direct and coordinate engagement with Xenergy matrixed teams supporting project execution (Human Resources, Finance, Subcontracts/Procurement, Engineering, Licensing, Quality/Safety, etc.), delivery partners, and subcontractors to establish and maintain a unified, optimized resourcing plan across the portfolio.
    • Own the definition, implementation, and ongoing management of the suite of tools and portfolio performance metrics to enable effective and efficient management of the portfolio and to provide clear, datadriven insights to senior leadership.
    • Champion the capture and sharing of knowledge and lessons learned to optimize performance across the portfolio and accelerate the path from FirstOfAKind to NthOfAKind deployments.
    • Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of the Portfolio Management organization, fostering a collaborative working environment and a highperforming, accountable team culture.
    • Actively support Xenergy's safety culture and ensure integration of quality in all relevant processes by complying with the requirements of the Quality Assurance Program.
  • Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Job Profile Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field.
  • Professional project management qualification (e.g., PMI, Prince2, etc.).
  • Typically, 12+ years' experience as a project or program manager in the professional services, management consulting, or engineering project management sector in a multiproject environment, with demonstrable responsibility for portfoliolevel planning and delivery.
  • Experience in planning and executing complex projects and project scopes from concept to implementation and successful operation, ideally in a regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing project and/or portfolio teams in a highperforming, multiproject environment, including coaching and mentoring project leaders.
  • Demonstrated skills working with core Microsoft software suite (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project)

Hours: Standard office hours are Monday -Friday, 8:00am EST to 5:00pm EST

Compensation

As required by Maryland and other applicable state law, X Energy, LLC (X-energy) lists the expected compensation range for a publicly advertised job opportunity based upon the job requirements (e.g. education/training, experience, skill sets, etc.). Individual candidates who meet the job requirements for the posted position will be offered a salary within this range based on their respective levels of education/training, experience, and other qualifications unique to them. Salary ranges may vary based on the specific office location and region referenced in the posting to take into consideration differences in cost of living and may not be reflective of all regions. Please note that compensation ranges listed for US job postings reflect base salary only and do not include benefits or other incentives.

Offers within the posted salary range are commensurate with the individual's qualifications for the position, along with a view on internal equity, market data, and room for growth. The salary range for this position is:

$190,000- $215,000
