Weโ€™re looking for a CO Associate to perform essential gas-filling and inspection tasks that support production. This entry-level role focuses on learning safe gas-handling practices, following precise procedures, and supporting the preparation of CO and oxygen bottles used in rescue inflatable rafts. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, follows safety protocols closely, and is eager to grow within a safety-critical manufacturing environment.ย

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious CO2 Room Associate to oversee the filling and inspection of CO2 cylinders used in inflatable rescue boats. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability and effectiveness of life-saving equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an industrial or manufacturing setting, with a strong focus on precision, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cylinder Filling & Inspection:

    • Properly fill CO2 cylinders following company and industry safety protocols.
    • Inspect cylinders for leaks, damage, or defects before and after filling.
    • Use a calculator to accurately measure and verify the cylinder's weight against required specifications.
  • Safety & Compliance:

    • Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations related to handling pressurized gases.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the CO2 filling room.
    • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Equipment Maintenance & Documentation:

    • Perform routine maintenance on filling equipment to ensure efficiency and safety.
    • Keep accurate logs of filled cylinders, pressure readings, and any irregularities.
    • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.
  • Inventory & Quality Control:

    • Monitor CO2 cylinder inventory levels and notify management when restocking is needed.
    • Ensure all cylinders are labeled correctly and stored properly for distribution.
    • Utilize a calculator to confirm CO2 weight accuracy and ensure compliance with required weight standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial setting preferred.
  • Ability to handle and work with pressurized gas cylinders safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict safety protocols.
  • Proficiency in using a calculator to measure and verify cylinder weight.
  • Basic mechanical skills for troubleshooting and equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to lift and move cylinders (up to [weight] lbs) as needed.
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance (OSHA, DOT, etc.) is a plus.
Working Conditions:
  • Work primarily takes place in a CO2 filling room with exposure to pressurized gases.
  • Requires standing, lifting, and repetitive motions throughout the shift.
