Infection Preventionist/Unit Manager-RN Leadership Opportunity Meadow View Health & Rehabilitation!
On-Call Rotation Required
RN Required | Long-Term Care or Healthcare Experience Preferred
We are seeking a dedicated Infection Preventionist and Unit Manager (RN) to lead and manage our infection control program in a skilled nursing environment. This role ensures compliance with CDC, CMS, and state regulations while supporting resident safety and quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control programs
  • Ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, and state guidelines
  • Conduct surveillance, reporting, and education related to infection control practices
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support quality outcomes and regulatory readiness
  • Provide staff education and ongoing training on infection prevention protocols
Skills Needed
  • Clinical Knowledge: Strong understanding of infection prevention practices and regulations
  • Leadership: Ability to guide, educate, and support staff in maintaining compliance
  • Attention to Detail: Accurate tracking, reporting, and documentation
  • Communication: Ability to effectively educate and collaborate with all levels of staff
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to respond quickly to infection concerns and staffing needs
Requirements
  • Active Indiana RN license or ability to obtain
  • Completion of CDC Nursing Home Infection Preventionist Training (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • Previous experience in long-term care, hospital, or healthcare setting strongly preferred
  • Ability to participate in on-call rotation (weekday and weekend coverage as part of leadership team)
