Overview
Clinical Educator/Infection Preventionist and Quality Liaison
Full-time and the hours are flexible and there will be times when coming in on weekends and off shifts would be required to provide education to staff.
There is also an on-call rotation of 1 weekend a month and evenings during the week.

The Clinical Educator/Infection Preventionist and Quality Liaison position is responsible for the orientation and continuing education of clinical staff who provide service in nursing at St. John Community and will support the education needs of ancillary staff as requested. This position is also responsible for the facility Infection Prevention and Control Program and its organization, implementation, monitoring and auditing.
Qualifications
Clinical Educator/Infection Preventionist and Quality Liaison qualifications include:
  • Possess a Registered Nurse (RN) degree from an accredited college, university, associate's degree program, or diploma from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Must possess a current, valid RN license for the state of Pennsylvania; must have 2 years of experience as an RN, must have been a full or part-time status for at least one year in the provision of a long-term care facility.
  • Must have an understanding of State and Federal regulations governing skilled nursing facilities.
  • Must have completed specialized training in Infection Prevention and Control or will be able to be trained/certified within 6 months.
