Job Title: Medical Assistant
Location: South Burlington, VT
Type: Contract | 13 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Tuesday-Thursday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Medical Assistant for an exciting Travel or Local job in South Burlington, VT.

Responsibilities

Clinical Duties

  • Room patients and prepare them for examinations
  • Take and document vital signs accurately
  • Assist providers during examinations and procedures
  • Perform phlebotomy (venipuncture) and specimen collection
  • Conduct EKG testing and point-of-care (POC) testing
  • Administer vaccines as permitted
  • Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms
  • Follow infection control and patient safety protocols

Administrative Duties

  • Greet and check in patients professionally
  • Schedule appointments and support clinic flow
  • Answer phone calls and assist with patient inquiries
  • Verify and update patient information
  • Coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments
  • Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
  • Assist with charting and patient records
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality

Requirements

  • Medical Assistant Certification required
  • Current BLS or CPR Certification required
  • Experience with both front-office and back-office Medical Assistant duties
  • Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience preferred
  • Phlebotomy (venipuncture) experience required
  • EKG experience required
  • Point-of-Care (POC) testing experience required
  • EMR experience required
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
