We are seeking a visionary leader to build and spearhead our market research and industry intelligence capabilities. This is a pivotal, new role where you will be instrumental in identifying attractive industries and subsegments, rigorously evaluating market opportunities, conducting in-depth competitive analysis, and delivering data-driven recommendations that directly fuel our strategic growth decisions. Your analytical prowess and research leadership will be the foundation upon which our go-to-market strategies are built, making a tangible impact on the firm's future direction.
What You Will Do
  • Analyze industries and sub-industries across target markets, including those within the AI supply chain.
  • Develop comprehensive segmentation frameworks for critical sectors such as manufacturing, financial services, power, alternative energy, engineering, construction, and professional services firms.
  • Assess industry attractiveness, growth rates, market structure, margin potential, and operational complexity to inform strategic priorities.
  • Identify key industry pain points and transformation themes relevant to government incentives, rebate programs, AI adoption, managed services, outsourcing, and consulting.
  • Develop Total Addressable Market (TAM), Serviceable Available Market (SAM), and Serviceable Obtainable Market (SOM) models for priority markets.
  • Estimate addressable customer counts, revenue potential, technology spend, and serviceable opportunity by segment.
  • Build dynamic opportunity scorecards that rank sectors based on growth potential, urgency, strategic fit, competitive intensity, and revenue potential.
  • Track and analyze consulting firms, managed service providers, AI service providers, outsourcing firms, and specialty competitors.
  • Analyze competitor offerings, positioning, pricing models, partnerships, acquisitions, and market moves.
  • Develop comprehensive competitor profiles and executive summaries to inform leadership and commercial teams.
  • Monitor critical trends such as AI adoption, workforce dynamics, outsourcing demand, regulatory developments, technology spending, and industry disruption.
  • Identify emerging themes that may create new market opportunities or pose potential risks.
  • Translate complex trend data into actionable implications for senior leadership decision-making.
  • Produce quarterly market outlook reports and detailed industry opportunity assessments.
  • Prepare executive briefings, board-ready summaries, and strategic research memos.
  • Present findings to senior leadership and recommend areas for deeper analysis or strategic investment.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in market intelligence, industry research, corporate strategy, competitive intelligence, research advisory, or consulting.
  • Proven experience in building industry reports, market models, competitive landscapes, and executive-level research deliverables.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, presentation, and synthesis skills.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Experience with B2B services, professional services, technology services, managed services, outsourcing, or AI-enabled services.
  • MBA or advanced degree.
