Job description

Industrial Services Project Manager

MMI is an Industrial, Full-Service Steel and Hoist Services company based in Mesa, Arizona. MMI has been in business since 1974 and celebrated our 50th year in business in 2024. We are very proud of the more than 180 loyal members of our team and are looking for individuals to contribute at a very high level.

MMI is looking to hire an Industrial Services Project Manager who has a bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Science or relevant field.

Someone that has a minimum of (5) years of Industrial facility construction/maintenance will be considered in lieu of degree.

The Industrial Services Project Manager needs to have these qualifications and experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years proven experience as Construction Project Manager
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
  • Familiarity with Quality Control. Environmental, Health and Safety standards
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Familiarity with construction/ project management software
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • A team player with leadership abilities
  • PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage

Responsibilities for Industrial Services Project Manager:

  • Collaborate with owners, general contractors, engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project
  • Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
  • Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to project cost controls
  • Plan all project operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
  • Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
  • Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities
  • Collaborate with superintendent to supervise the work of laborers, foremen etc. and give them guidance when needed
  • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
  • Ensure that all work in progress billing is communicated with finance department in a timely manner
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
