Position Summary
The Industrial Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing field operations, supervising Technicians and Operators, and ensuring industrial services projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
This role provides direct leadership and accountability for people, safety, quality, and productivity across assigned crews and job sites. The Supervisor serves as the primary link between field execution and operations leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily field operations across assigned job sites
  • Assign crews, equipment, and resources based on job scope and priorities
  • Monitor job progress, productivity, and quality of work
  • Ensure work is completed within scope, schedule, and safety expectations
  • Respond to operational issues, changes, or emergencies as they arise
People Leadership amp; Supervision
  • Directly supervise Industrial Services Technicians, Operators, and Lead roles
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback
  • Participate in hiring decisions, onboarding, training, and employee development
  • Enforce company policies, safety standards, and behavioral expectations
  • Recommend and administer corrective action in coordination with HR
  • Approve timecards, verify hours worked, and ensure accurate payroll submission
Safety amp; Compliance
  • Enforce OSHA, DOT, environmental, and company safety requirements
  • Conduct job briefings, safety meetings, and incident investigations
  • Ensure completion of JHAs, permits, and required safety documentation
  • Stop work and escalate when unsafe conditions are identified
  • Maintain a safety-first culture with zero tolerance for unsafe practices
Customer amp; Internal Coordination
  • Serve as on-site or primary contact for customers when assigned
  • Communicate job status, issues, and changes to Operations leadership
  • Coordinate with Dispatch, Maintenance, Safety, and other internal teams
  • Support audits, inspections, and customer site requirements
  • Equipment amp; Asset Oversight
  • Ensure proper use, care, and readiness of vehicles, tools, and equipment
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs as needed
  • Monitor compliance with DOT and equipment inspection requirements
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 5+ years of industrial services, environmental services, or heavy industrial experience
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role overseeing field crews
  • Strong working knowledge of industrial safety standards and regulations
  • Proven ability to lead teams in fast-paced, high-risk environments
  • Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred
  • Ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and travel as required
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • CDL Class A or B
  • HAZWOPER (40-hour or refresher)
  • Confined Space Entry Supervisor
  • TWIC card
  • Experience in refinery, plant, or terminal environments
  • Prior responsibility for scheduling, payroll approval, or operational planning
Physical amp; Environmental Requirements
  • Ability to work in industrial field environments
  • Frequent exposure to noise, dust, fumes, hazardous materials, and weather extremes
  • Ability to walk job sites, climb ladders, and wear required PPE
  • While primarily supervisory, must be capable of entering job sites as needed
