Safety Manager | Greendale, IN

As a Safety Manager in Greendale, IN, you will play a key role in promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture across industrial and manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations, implementing proactive safety programs, and supporting operational teams in maintaining safe and efficient work environments.

The ideal candidate will have experience in general industry and manufacturing settings, with a strong understanding of industrial hazards including explosive hazards, combustible dust, wastewater operations, machine guarding, and overall regulatory compliance.

  • Lead and manage site safety initiatives to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards
  • Conduct daily safety inspections, audits, and toolbox talks
  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and training programs
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; complete reports and recommend corrective actions
  • Partner with operations, maintenance, contractors, and leadership teams to promote safe work practices
  • Support emergency response planning and hazard assessments
  • Maintain safety documentation, records, and compliance reporting
  • Foster a culture where safety is a core value and every employee goes home safely each day

  • Minimum 5 - 7 years of safety experience in general industry, manufacturing, industrial, or processing environments
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA general industry standards and industrial safety regulations
  • Experience with explosive hazards, combustible dust, machine guarding, and wastewater operations preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suit
