Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Industrial Engineer to support and improve manufacturing operations at our Braselton, Georgia facility. This role is focused on analyzing processes, optimizing layouts, improving labor efficiency, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the production floor. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, self-starter who can work effectively with large production teams and translate operational insights into practical, data-driven recommendations for management.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct, analyze, and maintain time studies to improve labor efficiency and production performance.
  • Evaluate and optimize plant layouts, workflows, and material flow to maximize utilization of space for raw materials, production, and staging.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and develop practical improvement recommendations that increase throughput, quality, and cost effectiveness.
  • Work closely with production supervisors and a workforce of approximately 100 production team members to understand operational challenges, gain buy-in, and support change initiatives.
  • Serve as a visible presence on the production floor, building trust and positively influencing team engagement and performance.
  • Develop, document, and continuously update standard operating procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and procedure manuals.
  • Prepare and present clear, well-supported recommendations to management related to productivity, layout changes, staffing models, and process improvements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and industrial engineering principles.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering (required).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of industrial engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining time studies.
  • Proven ability to analyze layouts, recommend efficiencies, and implement process improvements.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience working with JD Edwards or similar ERP systems preferred.
  • Strong general PC and systems skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable independently identifying opportunities for improvement.
