Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to support manufacturing process improvement and operational efficiency projects at a manufacturing facility in Jayuya, Puerto Rico.

The Industrial Engineer will evaluate production processes, analyze operational and quality data, identify improvement opportunities, and support the implementation of solutions that improve productivity, quality, efficiency, and overall process performance. Processes may include filling, sealing, printing, packaging, and other manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Analyze production, quality, and business data to identify trends and areas for optimization.
  • Support process improvement initiatives related to filling, sealing, printing, packaging, and other manufacturing activities.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Process Excellence tools.
  • Develop recommendations to improve productivity, cycle time, quality, capacity, and operational performance.
  • Lead or support cross-functional teams during process improvement projects.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and critical quality measures.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and business cases to support proposed improvements.
  • Present findings and recommendations to management and project stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of approved process improvements.
  • Ensure that projects comply with applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and process improvement records.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing process evaluation, optimization, or continuous improvement.
  • Experience analyzing manufacturing, operational, or quality data.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, or Continuous Improvement principles.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work on-site in Jayuya, Puerto Rico.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, biotechnology, or regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with filling, sealing, printing, or packaging processes.
  • Knowledge of Lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, root cause analysis, and waste reduction.
  • Lean Six Sigma training or certification.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
