PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a premier leader in the aviation and aerospace industry to hire a highly skilled Industrial Engineer to support cutting-edge programs—including work on the Space Launch System (SLS). As an Industrial Engineer, you will drive transformational improvements across manufacturing and engineering operations. Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (12 Months)
Pay Rate: $54 to $64/hour


What You’ll Do

In this high-impact role, you’ll take ownership of complex projects and lead improvements across the full product lifecycle:

  • Apply advanced industrial engineering principles to optimize manufacturing, engineering, and service operations

  • Develop and utilize models, databases, and analytical tools (statistics, simulation, operations research) to guide data-driven decisions

  • Design and improve processes to enhance schedule performance, cost reduction, and quality outcomes

  • Collaborate with product and process design teams to ensure efficient, scalable production systems

  • Lead Lean initiatives and large-scale process improvements across integrated systems

  • Independently manage project scope, timelines, costs, and risks using structured project management tools

  • Conduct value stream analysis, including capacity planning, supplier performance, workflow optimization, and logistics

  • Optimize utilization of resources—facilities, workforce, materials, and equipment

  • Support the Space Launch System (SLS) program, contributing to mission-critical aerospace innovations


What You BringRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical discipline (ABET-accredited preferred)

  • 5+ years of related experience in industrial engineering or similar environments

  • Proficiency in MESci, Aurora, and constraints-based scheduling tools

  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience in modeling, simulation, and statistical analysis

  • Proven ability to manage complex projects independently

Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Engineering or related field

  • Experience in aerospace or large-scale manufacturing environments

  • Demonstrated success implementing Lean methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Strong background in value stream mapping, capacity planning, and logistics optimization

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple functions

Pay Details: $54.00 to $64.00 per hour
