Job description

Industrial Engineer

Location: Indianapolis, IN
Duration: Permanent

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to support high-volume manufacturing operations, process optimization, capacity planning, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop standard times, standard work, manpower plans, and line balancing.
  • Conduct time studies, work measurement, VA/NVA analysis, and ergonomic assessments.
  • Design and optimize workstations, assembly cells, and manufacturing line layouts.
  • Develop manufacturing processes for new, modified, and relocated production lines.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing, VSM, 3M, root cause analysis, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Support NPI, capacity planning, automation, tooling, fixtures, and equipment requirements.
  • Manage ECO/MCO changes and maintain PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions, and other manufacturing documentation.
  • Partner with Production, Quality, Engineering, and other teams to improve productivity, quality, safety, and cost.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of Industrial/Manufacturing/Process Engineering experience.
  • Experience with high-volume assembly and automated manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Time Studies, Standard Work, Line Balancing, Capacity Planning, Lean, VSM, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
