Job Description

The Indiana University Foundation (IUF) is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented professional to support Affinity Giving programs through communications, volunteer engagement, event coordination, and administrative support. Affinity Giving creates opportunities for communities to collectively invest in the people, programs, and initiatives they care about most at Indiana University through philanthropy. 

Reporting to the Director of Affinity Giving, this position plays an important role in supporting philanthropic communities, including the Black Philanthropy Circle, Latino Philanthropy Circle, Queer Philanthropy Circle, Women's Philanthropy, and future affinity-based initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with volunteers, donors, colleagues, and university partners to help deliver meaningful engagement opportunities that advance philanthropic participation and impact. 

What You'll Do 

  • Coordinate communications including emails, newsletters, meeting materials, social media content, and volunteer correspondence. 

  • Support volunteer leadership groups by scheduling meetings, preparing materials, recording minutes, and tracking follow-up activities. 

  • Assist with planning and executing events, donor engagement activities, receptions, meetings, and special programs. 

  • Coordinate annual giving campaigns, crowdfunding efforts, IU Day engagement activities, and donor outreach initiatives. 

  • Maintain volunteer and donor records, membership rosters, mailing lists, and program documentation. 

  • Partner with colleagues across Events, Marketing, Stewardship, Donor Relations, and other departments to support program goals. 

  • Assist with donor stewardship activities, membership renewals, and donor acquisition efforts. 

  • Support gift processing, budget tracking, reimbursements, and other administrative functions as needed. 

  • Ensure accurate recordkeeping and maintain confidential information with professionalism and discretion. 

  • Manage calendars, support team completing mileage reimbursement & travel arrangements, and process invoice payments. 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

  • Experience in program coordination, communications, event planning, volunteer management, customer service, fundraising support, administration, or a related field. 

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. 

  • Strong organizational and project management abilities with exceptional attention to detail. 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality. 


Additional Information

The compensation Range is $50,000 – $52,000 annually, commensurate with experience. This is a Hybrid Role (Remote Tuesdays & Thursdays) at our Indianapolis location.
