What is individual giving in fundraising?

Individual giving refers to the donations and financial contributions made by private individuals to nonprofit organizations or charitable causes. This type of fundraising is a crucial revenue stream for many nonprofits, often including one-time gifts, recurring donations, major gifts, and planned giving. Individual giving involves building relationships with donors, recognizing their support, and encouraging ongoing engagement.
