Position Summary
The TIG Welder (Night Shift) is responsible for welding fabricated metal components and assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, welding procedures, and quality standards. This position plays a critical role in producing high-quality expansion joints and related piping products while maintaining safety, accuracy, and efficiency during night shift operations. Must have 3 years TIG experience and must pass TIG 3G Testing.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform TIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy materials
• Must be able to weld plate to plate (very thin) and plate to flat bar
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, weld symbols, and specifications
• Set up and operate welding equipment according to approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
• Ensure welds meet dimensional, visual, and quality requirements
• Conduct in-process inspections and make adjustments as needed
• Use fabrication tools such as grinders, torches, and hand tools
• Safely operate overhead cranes and material-handling equipment
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
• Complete required documentation, travelers, checklists, and work orders
• Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements, LOTO, and crane protocols

A minimum 3 Years' Experience Preferred
• Proven experience with TIG welding in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
• Ability to read and interpret welding symbols and fabrication drawings
• Familiarity with welding carbon steel and stainless-steel components
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently on night shift
• Knowledge of shop safety standards and procedures
