Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join a manufacturing team producing precision stainless steel food processing equipment and machinery. This position is ideal for a skilled welder with strong GTAW/TIG experience, particularly welding stainless steel, who takes pride in producing clean, high-quality welds and precision-fabricated components.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience TIG welding stainless steel, reading blueprints, fitting and assembling components, and working with precision tools and equipment. Experience producing sanitary or food-grade stainless steel welds is highly preferred.

Shift: Monday- Thursday 4x10 hours per days

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform TIG/GTAW welding on stainless steel components and assemblies with a strong emphasis on weld appearance, quality, and consistency.
  • Weld stainless steel machinery, frames, components, piping, and assemblies according to specifications and blueprints.
  • Set up and operate TIG welding equipment, selecting appropriate settings, tungsten, shielding gas, filler material, and welding techniques for the application.
  • Perform welding in flat, vertical, overhead, and other required positions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, weld symbols, measurements, and specifications.
  • Fit, position, align, and secure stainless steel parts and assemblies prior to welding.
  • Use precision measuring and layout tools such as calipers, rulers, squares, straightedges, and other fabrication equipment.
  • Monitor welding processes to prevent overheating, warping, distortion, shrinking, and other defects.
  • Produce clean, consistent, and visually acceptable stainless steel welds while maintaining required quality standards.
  • Inspect completed welds and components for defects, dimensional accuracy, and conformance to specifications.
  • Operate hand and power tools commonly used in welding and fabrication.
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance and report equipment or process issues to the supervisor or lead.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and production requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, leads, and other members of the production team.
  • Complete assignments accurately and efficiently while meeting production schedules.
  • Assist with other fabrication and assembly duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of professional TIG/GTAW welding experience.
  • Strong hands-on TIG welding experience with stainless steel is required.
  • 3–5 years of blueprint and technical drawing interpretation experience.
  • Ability to produce clean, consistent, high-quality stainless steel TIG welds.
  • Experience fitting and fabricating metal components and assemblies.
  • Ability to understand weld symbols, dimensions, tolerances, and fabrication specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Ability to use precision measuring equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently while also working effectively as part of a production team.
  • Ability to learn new processes quickly and adapt to changing production requirements.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends when required.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience TIG welding 304 and/or 316 stainless steel.
  • Experience working with thin-gauge stainless steel.
  • Experience producing sanitary, food-grade, or appearance-critical stainless steel welds.
  • Experience with stainless steel fabrication and machinery assembly.
  • Experience with GMAW/MIG welding in addition to TIG.
  • Experience working from detailed fabrication drawings and weld specifications.
  • Experience in food processing equipment, industrial machinery, pharmaceutical equipment, or other precision stainless steel manufacturing environments.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods while performing welding and fabrication duties.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crawl, reach, and work in various positions.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with moderate to high noise levels.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move materials weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • Ability to work safely around welding equipment, machinery, metal components, sparks, heat, fumes, and other manufacturing hazards.
