GREENPLUM SOFTWARE TESTER

Lanham, Maryland.


Description:

Our Client is seeking several Greenplum Software Testers at the ITS or SITS labor category level to join our team. This position will be located in Lanham, Maryland.


Roles and Responsibilities:

Individual will conduct functional and/or integration testing of multiple programs in a client/server and/or IBM mainframe environment.

Programs typically support the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) tax processing pipeline and master file systems.

Individual will use IRS or Contractor-developed documentation to construct test cases with predetermined results and test data to verify program functionality and/or interfaces through assigned systems.

Individual will review output to determine whether or not the test results fulfill the established requirements, and if necessary, notify the responsible programmers, both orally and in writing, of errors, omissions, and inconsistencies in the programs and/or documentation.

This position may be filled at either an ITS or SITS labor category level:



Qualifications

Basic Qualifications for a Software Tester (SITS) are:


BS degree and 9 years IT experience OR High school diploma and a minimum of 13 years of progressive IT experience


3 years of software testing experience


Knowledge of Greenplum database


Ability to obtain a Minimum Background Investigation security clearance (US Citizenship or Permanent Residence


Status required)




Basic Qualifications for a Software Tester (ITS) are:


BS degree and 5 years IT experience OR High school diploma and a minimum of 9 years of progressive IT experience


3 years of software testing experience


Knowledge of Greenplum database


Ability to obtain a Minimum Background Investigation security clearance (US Citizenship or Permanent Residence Status required)




Preferred Qualifications:


Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:


Possession of a current IRS background investigation


Knowledge of current IRS tax administration software applications


Experience with IRS tax administration systems
