***This position requires an active Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance to be considered. ***
Cherokee Nation Integrated Health (CNIH) is looking for a Medical Assistant to provide front desk scheduling, administrative, and clinical support at the CDC's Occupational Health Clinics. The ideal candidate will be experienced in occupational health care coordination and clinical documentation.
Compensation & Benefits:
Pay commensurate with experience.

Medical Assistant (Scheduler) Responsibilities Include:
  • Provide front desk administrative services, including making appointments and checking in staff.
  • Manage intake paperwork, electronic questionnaire submissions, and clinic phone calls.
  • Administer vaccines, take vital signs, perform phlebotomy, and conduct vision screenings.
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies and clinical equipment.
  • Coordinate medical clearance requests and manage clinical documentation.
  • Assist with clinic management systems and ensure accurate scheduling and documentation of occupational health services.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Medical Assistant (Scheduler) Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in an occupational health setting.
  • Experience in clinical documentation and scheduling.
  • Experience in front desk administrative tasks and customer service.
  • Proficiency in using medical record software and scheduling systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and administering vaccines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must pass the pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
