Responsibilities

Draw blood specimens from patients using established phlebotomy techniques, including pediatric and geriatric collections

Prepare and label specimens correctly to ensure proper processing and testing

Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient signatures post-venipuncture to confirm specimen labeling accuracy

Maintain accurate records and documentation of specimen collection activities

Communicate effectively with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures

Perform specimen processing and handling following established safety and quality standards

Ensure a safe, clean, and professional environment in accordance with policies and procedures

Demonstrate leadership behaviors and a commitment to process excellence and confidentiality
