To thrive as a Per Diem Phlebotomist, you need strong venipuncture skills, knowledge of specimen handling protocols, and a high school diploma or equivalent, often accompanied by completion of a phlebotomy training program and certification. Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS), safety equipment, and electronic health record (EHR) software is commonly required.
