Job description

We are seeking a self-motivated Mechanical Engineer with 5-7 years of experience to assist our industrial and mechanical project teams in the design and implementation of refinery-based mechanical projects.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist with engineering and design of mechanical projects in the Oil and Gas industry
  • Coordinate with disciplines internally and communicate well with engineers, contractors, and outside Clients
  • Respond to RFI's for the project and accurately review submittals
  • Conduct and attend site visits and prepare site reports
  • Meet with vendors to determine specification requirements for application
  • Perform field verification and take-offs of existing systems for renovation projects
  • Assist in preparation of cost estimates
  • Assist in creation of project schedules and resourcing
  • Project Manage and lead engineering projects, as required
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of -10 years of experience
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University
  • Professional Engineering License preferred, but not required
  • Project Management Experience
  • Knowledge in PSV sizing
  • Proficient in rotating equipment
    • Ability to read and interpret pump / compressor curves
    • Ability to size pumps and compressors
    • Familiar with API seal plans
  • Knowledge in industrial piping
    • Ability to run pipe stress analysis utilizing Caesar II Software
    • Ability to run pipe flow calculations
  • Knowledge in understanding and interpreting ASME Code for process piping and pressure vessels
    • Ability to run pressure vessel nozzle/re-pad calculations
  • AutoCAD experience preferred, but not required
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong focus on client satisfaction.
