Vinai Market | Brooklyn Center, MN

Vinai Market is looking for a friendly, dependable Grocery Store Associate to join our team. This is a hands-on position where you may work as a cashier, stocker, grocery clerk, and deli associate depending on the needs of the store.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with customers, stays productive throughout their shift, and is willing to help wherever needed.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful customer service
  • Operate the cash register and accurately process cash and credit card transactions
  • Stock grocery items, beverages, produce, frozen foods, and other merchandise
  • Keep shelves organized, faced, and fully stocked
  • Check products for freshness and rotate inventory as needed
  • Assist customers with locating products throughout the store
  • Help maintain a clean and organized checkout and sales floor
  • Assist in the deli and prepared food area as needed
  • Package and serve deli or prepared food items
  • Maintain clean food preparation and service areas
  • Receive, organize, and put away merchandise
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and store procedures
  • Help with general cleaning and other store duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Previous cashier, grocery store, retail, stocking, deli, restaurant, or customer service experience is helpful, but not required
  • Friendly and professional with customers
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced grocery store environment
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Able to lift and move boxes and merchandise
  • Willing to learn different areas of the store
  • Able to work well independently and as part of a team
