As an independent contractor, you are responsible for managing your own business, setting your rates, and finding clients. You typically work on a flexible schedule and may offer services in person, online, or over the phone. To excel as an Independent Contractor Coach, you need proven expertise in coaching methodologies, goal-setting, and client relationship management, typically supported by experience in a specialized coaching discipline or relevant certifications. Many coaches collaborate with other professionals or participate in peer supervision for continued growth and best-practice sharing. The work is usually flexible and self-directed, allowing for autonomy in setting hours and tailoring services to client needs. This variety ensures a dynamic work environment and the ability to develop long-term client relationships.
