Position Overview

We are seeking experienced and professional Deposition Attorneys to join our network as independent contractors. The attorney will represent clients at depositions, protect their legal interests throughout the proceeding, and ensure that all applicable procedural and professional standards are followed.

This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys seeking flexible, project-based litigation work without a traditional full-time commitment.

Responsibilities

  • Attend and represent clients at depositions, including plaintiff, defendant, witness, and expert depositions as applicable.
  • Prepare for each deposition by reviewing relevant pleadings, discovery, documents, and case materials.
  • Advise and communicate effectively with clients before and during depositions.
  • Make appropriate objections and preserve the client's legal rights and defenses.
  • Ensure deposition proceedings are conducted professionally and in accordance with applicable rules and procedures.
  • Communicate with opposing counsel, court reporters, clients, and other parties as necessary.
  • Provide timely updates and required documentation following each deposition.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with all applicable ethical and professional obligations.

Qualifications

  • Active license and good standing in the applicable state jurisdiction(s).
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Prior litigation and deposition experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of civil procedure and deposition practice.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to work independently.
  • Strong preparation, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to accept assignments on a flexible, as-needed basis.

Independent Contractor Arrangement

This position is structured as an independent contractor opportunity. Attorneys will be engaged on a case-by-case or assignment basis and will be responsible for maintaining their own professional licensing, insurance, taxes, and other requirements applicable to independent legal practice.


Compensation: Competitive per-deposition or assignment-based compensation, depending on the matter and scope of services.
