Experienced ANCA Operator - Job Description
Position Summary
An experienced ANCA Operator is a skilled machinist responsible for setting up, programming, and operating ANCA CNC grinding machines to manufacture high-precision cutting tools. This role ensures strict adherence to engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements while optimizing production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Setup & Operation
  • Set up ANCA CNC grinding machines based on work orders and specifications
  • Select appropriate grinding wheels, tooling, and machine parameters
  • Load and secure cutting tool blanks accurately
  • Perform machine changeovers and setup adjustments as required

Programming
  • Develop and modify grinding programs using ANCA software
  • Create tool profiles, grinding paths, and finishing operations
  • Optimize programs for efficiency and precision

Production Monitoring
  • Monitor machine performance during operations
  • Adjust offsets, feeds, and speeds to maintain tolerances
  • Ensure continuous production flow and efficiency

Quality Control
  • Inspect finished tools for:
    • Dimensional accuracy
    • Surface finish
    • Conformance to specifications
