About the Appraisal Coordinator Role

In this pivotal, entry-level position within the financial sector, you will be instrumental in facilitating precise residential real estate evaluations. You will leverage tools to gather and synthesize critical market data, directly contributing to the Bank's informed decision-making process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Interaction: Schedule appraisals and communicate with clients regarding assignments.
  • Property Inspections: Travel to and physically inspect the exterior and/or interior of collateral properties.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Research, develop, and analyze comparable sales, rental, and cost data to determine property market value.
  • Report Preparation: Write appraisal reports based on research and analyses; assist staff with online research.
  • Data Management: Support fellow staff in data entry for appraisal reports.
  • Training & Education: Complete assigned online and classroom appraisal courses; fulfill continuing education requirements if licensed.
  • Quality Review: Assist in reviewing appraisal and evaluation reports for staff and fee appraisers if licensed.

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well-organized; ability to manage multiple tasks and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Reliable transportation and access to MLS database.
  • Fluent in English; bilingual a plus
  • Access to reliable transportation

Schedule

Full-time position; Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. Evening/weekend work as needed.

Travel

  • 50–60% of working hours spent traveling to properties using personal vehicle. Valid, clean driver’s license required.

Work Environment

  • Frequent exposure to outside conditions and occasional exposure to extreme conditions (e.g., construction sites).
  • Noise levels may be loud at certain sites.
