This position provides advanced administrative support to the Appraisal Department by managing appraisal orders from initiation through completion, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. The position involves monitoring the Mercury Network System, maintaining appraisal files, coordinating communication between internal departments, relationship officers, and independent appraisers, and tracking deadlines to ensure deliverables are met. The individual researches and compiles real estate and property data, prepares reports, and conducts initial quality assurance reviews of appraisal documents. Additional responsibilities include requesting and distributing required documentation, preparing engagement letters, obtaining appraisal quotes, maintaining logs and credential records, supporting compliance efforts, facilitating invoice payments, uploading final reports, and assisting with training materials and special cases such as troubled loans.
The ideal candidate holds a two-year degree in business or equivalent training and has at least one year of administrative experience, preferably within a banking environment, along with knowledge of bank operations. They must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while maintaining strict confidentiality and meeting deadlines under pressure. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, including the ability to interact diplomatically with stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, accurate typing, and the ability to compose professional business correspondence are also required.
