Experts of operations, process and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, presentation, pricing and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store. This team leads Food & Beverage and Food Service, providing a fresh and food safe experience. Experts enable efficient delivery to our guests by owning pick, pack and ship fulfillment work.

  • Guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest-first culture across the store

  • Retail business fundamentals, including department sales trends, inventory management, and process efficiency and improvement

  • Executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals

As an Inbound Expert, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:
  • Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments:

  • Greet:

  • 10ft: be friendly - smile, make eye contact, or wave

  • 4ft: greet the guest, smile and initiate a warm, helpful interaction

  • Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience

  • End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you

  • Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude

  • Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience

  • Execute a detailed, accurate and efficient sorting operation.

  • Stock, organize and store reserve product and straighten merchandise on sales floor.

  • Maintain product availability on the salesfloor for GM categories.

  • If certified, operate powered equipment as necessary while unloading freight or moving merchandise.

  • Process defective merchandise and handle environmentally sensitive (ESIM) items in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.

  • Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.

  • Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive up (DU) and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.

  • All other duties based on business needs.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older

  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members

  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed

  • Work both independently and with a team

  • Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot

  • Attention to detail and follow multi-step processes

  • Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes

  • Accurately handle cash register operations as needed

  • Climb up and down ladders

  • Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting, carrying, and moving merchandise up to 44 pounds throughout the duration of a shift without additional assistance from others. This task involves repetitive bending, twisting, reaching, and rotating motions.

  • Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays); come to work when scheduled, work scheduled shifts and take required meal and rest breaks

  • Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.

  • Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary)
