Essen Health Care Job Summary

Essen Health Care is seeking a Patient Coordinator โ€“ Women's Health to join our Call Center team. This role is responsible for managing inbound/outbound patient communications, scheduling appointments, and supporting care coordination for women's health services. This is a fast-paced, patient-facing role ideal for someone with strong communication skills and prior healthcare call center experience.

Responsibilities
  • Handle high-volume inbound and outbound calls in a call center environment
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments for Women's Health services (OB/GYN, prenatal, etc.)
  • Provide patients with accurate information regarding services, providers, and locations
  • Verify patient demographics, insurance, and eligibility
  • Coordinate care and follow-ups, including referrals and test scheduling
  • Address patient inquiries with professionalism, empathy, and urgency
  • Document all interactions accurately in the EMR system
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless patient experience
Qualifications
  • 1+ year of experience in healthcare call center required
  • Experience in Women's Health, OB/GYN, or Care Coordination strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage high call volumes in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with EMR/EHR systems (eCW, Epic, or similar preferred)
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred (not required)
