Job Summary

The Medicare Benefit Consultants (Tele-Sales) is responsible for providing positive, consistent, daily engagement via telephone with prospective members. The consultant will educate prospective members on Clever Care products and enroll into product of choice over the phone or other sales enrollment channels.

Functions & Job Responsibilities

  • Takes inbound and makes outbound calls to prospective members.
  • Sell Clever Careโ€™s Medicare Advantage products.
  • Conducts presentations using approved guidelines
  • Conducts needs analysis and cost benefit analysis
  • Completes enrollment into desired products.
  • Set up in-person meetings and takes RSVP's to events for prospective members who do not want to enroll over the telephone.
  • Understands cultural sensitivity and professional boundaries.
  • Meet/exceed individual sales goals.
  • Maintains adherence to HIPAA compliance in all communications regarding clients in treatment.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Strong working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid and other government health programs/ income assistance programs.
  • Experience working with senior citizens and low-income individuals.
  • Experience working in Tele-sales (call center) environment.
  • Active California Life and Health Insurance License is required or must obtain within 3 months of hire.

Skills:

  • Positive demeanor and clear understanding of professional boundaries with members.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Member-driven service disposition
  • Excellent time management skills, team approach, and basic computer skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of CMS telephone marketing regulations.

Wage Range: $24.00 to $29.00 per hour plus commission

Physical requirements needed to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Must be able to travel when needed or required ย 
  • Ability to operate a keyboard, mouse, phone and perform repetitive motion (keyboard); writing (note-taking)
  • Ability to sit for long periods; stand, sit, reach, bend, lift up to fifteen (15) lbs.

Ability to express or exchange ideas to impart information to the public and to convey detailed instructions to staff accurately and quickly.

Work is performed in an office environment and/or remotely. The job involves frequent contact with staff and public. May occasionally be required to work irregular hours based on the needs of the business.
