JOB DESCRIPTION:

A Server Assistant ? In-Room Dining & Upkeep is responsible for supporting the in-room dining operation and maintaining cleanliness throughout service areas and guest floors. This role ensures timely delivery support, proper tray retrieval, and a clean, organized environment to enhance the overall guest experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assist with delivering in-room dining orders to guest rooms in a timely and professional manner

· Greet guests politely when entering or exiting guest rooms and hallways

· Adhere to grooming and appearance standards

· Prepare trays, carts, and tables for service, ensuring all items are properly set and stocked

· Retrieve trays, carts, and service items from guest floors promptly

· Maintain cleanliness of service stations, hallways, and storage areas

· Clean and sanitize trays, carts, hot boxes, and all related equipment after use

· Monitor guest floors to ensure timely tray pick-up and overall presentation standards

· Assist servers with order preparation, delivery setup, and breakdown

· Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor

· Assist with special events, amenities, and VIP room deliveries as needed

· Answer telephone using appropriate etiquette when required

· Develop and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers and other departments

· Assist with dishwashing or kitchen support as needed

· Clean all assigned back-of-house and front-of-house areas including floors, walls, and service equipment

· Restock supplies such as condiments, beverages, linens, and service items

· Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

· Prior hospitality or food and beverage experience preferred

· Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards

· Strong communication and teamwork skills

· Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy

· Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain a sense of urgency

· Punctuality and reliable attendance are required

· Basic familiarity with hotel or restaurant operations preferred

· Ability to safely perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting

· Ability to push and pull carts and lift items weighing up to 30?40 pounds
