Summary:
A manufacturing company for the aerospace and defense industry is looking to hire a Quality Inspector to work at their facility in Coral Springs. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for performing in-process inspections on aerospace and defense components, ensuring that all products meet the required specifications and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
* Perform in-process inspections on manufactured aerospace and defense components.
* Utilize precision measurement tools, including micrometers, calipers, indicators, and bench layouts, to verify dimensions.
* Occasionally operate the CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) for inspections (programming not required).
* Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
* Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to inspections and product evaluations.
* Perform hand dimensions and detailed calculations to verify product accuracy.
* Accurately fill out dimension data using Microsoft Excel.
* Ensure compliance with industry quality standards and company-specific specifications.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Quality Inspector for a mechanical parts manufacturer
* AS9102 experience (any experience as an Inspector for an aerospace parts manufacturer)
* Ability to interpret basic GD&T symbols (ex: diameter symbols)
* Ability to read all work orders/instructions in English
Preferred:
* Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with GD&T and blueprint reading
* Experience performing hand dimensions and basic mathematical calculations for inspections.
