About the Role
If you have a knowledge and passion for plants, love to learn and continuously improve, and enjoy the sales experience and working with others, then we would love for you to join our team. We are seeking Inside Sales Craftsmen for our beautiful Dayton, Oregon nursery. As an Inside Sales Craftsman, you will collaborate with the Outside Sales Craftsmen to build upon relationships with our current customers and help prospective customers understand our brand more fully as you work to meet your sales goal in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
  • You'll collaborate with your Outside Sales Craftsmen to execute your team strategy and meet your sales goal.
  • You'll call current and prospective customers.
  • You'll continue to learn about industry trends and the plants we grow.
  • You'll help promote brand awareness by presenting marketing and sales strategies to customers and colleagues periodically.
  • You'll support our company values in the way you communicate with customers and your fellow craftsmen.
  • The possibility of some travel should the need arise to attend a trade show or visit another nursery.

Who You Are
  • You have education, experience, or knowledge of the horticulture industry.
  • Ideally you have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a professional office setting.
  • You are able to learn and utilize technology.
  • You are good at planning, executing, and meeting goals.
  • You are open to feedback, communicate well and take action as required.
  • You have good math and computer skills and are proficient in Excel based on testing.
  • You are able to work Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 4pm; and Saturdays from 7:30am to 2:30pm on occasion during our busy spring season.
  • You have a valid Oregon driver's license with acceptable driving record so you can drive around the nursery as needed.
  • You're able to maneuver around the office and nursery, work on a computer and with a telephone, and can lift up to 35 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • You would consider relocating to another Monrovia nursery or to an outside territory.

Benefits at Monrovia
  • As an Inside Sales Craftsman, you'll usually earn between $48k and $60k your first year. By your 4th year, you'll have the potential to earn up to $80k.
  • You'll earn paid vacation and sick time.
  • When you participate in our 401(k) plan, you'll get a company match of up to 4%.
  • You will be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision and life insurance.
  • You'll be able to purchase Monrovia plants for your own garden at 20% off wholesale prices.
