John Knox Village is a not-for-profit Life Care Retirement Community offering a full range of independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing care options for more than 1,000 senior residents on our 70-acre campus, located in Pompano Beach, convenient to major highways and transportation options.

Your day to day as a Move In Manager

As a Move-In Manager at John Knox Village of Florida, you'll play a pivotal role in easing the transitions for seniors moving into our vibrant community. Your responsibilities will include developing customized move plans, assessing individual needs, and creating tailored floor plans that ensure residents feel at home. You will provide valuable resources, such as a list of trusted movers and packing services, and offer empathetic guidance throughout the process to reduce stress for both residents and their families. Acting as a central point of contact, you'll coordinate multiple vendors to ensure each move is seamless, integrating smoothly with our community staff's schedules. You'll also manage the design center, assist new residents with paperwork, and ensure their new apartments are welcoming from day one.

By fostering connections with community amenities and regularly checking in with residents during their move-in process, you will contribute to a thoughtful and supportive environment they can truly call home.

A minimum of three years in a Continuing Care Retirement Community is required, with a Bachelor's degree preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with software tools such as Advantage Anywhere, Smart Sheet, ADP, and Point Click Care will be essential for efficient operations and record-keeping. Strong supervisory skills are also important, as you will oversee activity staff and manage program budgets while participating in hiring and training efforts.

Effective documentation of resident participation and well-being changes will require keen attention to detail and organizational skills. Additionally, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for providing empathetic support to residents and families during their transition into our community.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
