REPORTS TO: Application Fulfillment Supervisor
DEPARTMENT: Operations
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
TRAVEL: None
WORK SCHEDULE: M-F, may need to flex times due to business needs
LOCATION: onsite, Houston, TX

JOB SUMMARY:
The Consumer Application Fulfillment Specialist I is responsible for managing inbound and outbound written and verbal communication with clients seeking insurance through company agents or accounts. This role involves handling incoming emails and phone calls to collect and verify client information, managing case follow-ups through a task management system, and supporting the completion of insurance applications. Responsibilities also include sending reminders for personal history interviews, assisting with the signature process, and obtaining any missing information or required documentation needed to finalize applications efficiently and accurately.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Works each application request received through to the formal submission to the carrier for underwriting
  • Reviews, screens, and coordinates with other Covr team members to ensure all documentation has the accurate information necessary to complete each carrier-specific life insurance application
  • Submits life insurance applications according to SOP and in efficient timeframe
  • Strives for excellence in customer service and relationship building
  • Performs other projects and duties as assigned

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years clerical and/or administrative experience
  • Minimum 1 year customer service experience, preferably by phone

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Life insurance knowledge is strongly-preferred
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills, especially via phone
  • Demonstrated ability to accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task without losing focus
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and high level of personal integrity and accountability

  • Hourly pay range $18.00 - $19.00 DOE
