Job Title: Herd - In Game Host

Class: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Reports to: Director of Game Production & Partnership Activation

Location: Oshkosh

Summary:

This person is an enthusiastic entertainer and ambassador for the Wisconsin Herd in-arena and out in the community. In-Arena host will be responsible for working Wisconsin Herd home games during the season and various events as-needed in the community throughout the year.


Key Responsibilities

  • Host will assist with all contests and promotions by following an in-depth game script that will be provided by the Director of Game Production & Partnership Activation
  • Introduce and facilitate pregame, in-game, and postgame content for all Wisconsin Herd home games
  • Lead/conduct on-court contests and presentations as necessary per the Director of Game Production & Partnership Activation
  • Act as on-camera talent for some Wisconsin Herd social media channels


Qualifications:

  • Create positive energy and pump up the crowd using both voice and body language
  • Ability to rapidly deliver clear, engaging explanations of on-court promotions to a live audience
  • Brings an engaging, high-energy on-camera presence with clear, confident delivery that connects with live audience
  • Creative personality with ability to quickly adapt and improvise to new situations
  • Attend gameday meetings and on-court rehearsals held prior to all home games
  • Knowledge of NBA G League basketball rules and regulations
  • Ability to work with others in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to take direction, feedback and be professional at all times
  • Work a flexible schedule; evenings and weekends are required; possible Holiday games; has to be available for all HOME games
  • Familiarity with Wisconsin Herd, Oshkosh market, and Milwaukee Bucks
