Job description

Position Title: Integrated Master Scheduler (IMS) & Risk Manager Position Type: Full-time, On-Site Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD Clearance: Active Secret Travel: <10% Description: Waypoint’s client is seeking an Integrated Master Scheduler (IMS) & Risk Manager to provide programmatic, analytical, and scheduling support within a DoD acquisition environment. This role serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting program performance tracking, schedule development, funding forecasting, and risk management across a portfolio of tactical communication systems. The selected candidate will play a key role in ensuring alignment with acquisition milestones, maintaining program schedules, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks to support mission success.

Responsibilities: Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for multiple programs, ensuring alignment with program milestones, deliverables, and acquisition timelines. Synchronize critical paths and track CDRL deliveries, program reviews, and contract modifications. Perform schedule analysis to support cost planning, logistics coordination, and program execution.

Serve as the primary Risk Manager, maintaining program risk registers in alignment with DoD Risk, Issue, and Opportunity Management guidance. Identify, analyze, and track program risks, and develop mitigation strategies. * Generate predictive data and reporting to support early risk identification and resolution.

Support development and maintenance of acquisition documentation and program plans aligned with DoD lifecycle milestones. Provide schedule and risk analysis to support leadership decision-making and program execution. * Prepare and deliver briefings and reports on schedule performance and risk posture to senior leadership.

Support administrative and program operations, including staff action tracking, deliverable processing, and technical memorandum development. Required: U.S. Citizenship.

Active Secret clearance. Bachelor’s degree in any field. * Minimum 10+ years of experience supporting program management activities.

Minimum 5+ years of experience supporting DoD acquisition programs, including knowledge of acquisition milestones and processes. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 for schedule development and management. * Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Experience developing and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules (IMS). Experience supporting risk management and mitigation activities. Desired: * Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Experience supporting tactical communications or network programs. Experience supporting Army or DoD program offices. * Experience preparing and presenting executive-level briefings on schedule and risk.
