Licensed Title Agent/ Closer – Job Description

Steel City Title, part of Maronda Homes, is a multi-state Title and Settlement company helping homeowners, mortgage lenders and real estate agents with the settlement process. Our core principle is keeping clients happy through our consistently smooth and efficient closing process.  We are looking for Licensed Title Agent/Closer to join our exciting and growing team of Title Professionals for a remote opportunity supporting our Virginia Branch.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Reviewing contracts.

 Responsible for researching property records and preparing documents and information for real estate transactions.

 Opening and ordering searches for files.

 Importing title searches.

 Preparing title commitments, closing disclosures.

 Preparing buyer and seller documents.

 Clearing title issues (i.e. lien, quite title, title vesting issues, etc.).

 Communicate with buyers to confirm correct information for contacts.

 Communicate with realtor to confirm correct transactional information.

 Other duties as required.


Requirements:

 Two years of experience with real estate transactions, title processing or as a title company processor is essential.

 Excellent oral and written communication skills.

 Reliable and detail oriented.

 Strong organizational skills.

 Ability to multi-task and handle multiple deadlines.

 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 Familiarity with preparing Closing Disclosures.

 Provide a high level of customer service, including the building of strong relationships with our customers and colleagues.

 Currently a Licensed Title Agent in Indianapolis
